Pete Watson was a senior leader in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry for more than 33 years. During the span of his career at Eli Lilly & Company, he held varying leadership roles across four functions of the enterprise – regulatory affairs, engineering/manufacturing, medical affairs and health economics and outcomes research, including having served as Senior Director in Global Health Outcomes.
With a demonstrated track record of successfully leading national and global teams of technical professionals to deliver superior product support across a broad product portfolio, Watson is an accomplished servant leader who is organized, highly motivated and a detail-directed problem solver. While at Lilly, responsibilities included leading the expansion of the company’s U.S. medical information services, overseeing the company’s product information call center and forming and leading a medical liaison team for a joint venture partnership in support of company new product launches.
Watson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Operations Management) from Indiana University, and a Master’s degree in Public Health (Health Management & Policy) from University of Michigan. Beyond life sciences, he has a passion for leveraging his unique executive leadership expertise to help address some of today’s most vexing human capital challenges focused on areas such as the mentoring of urban youth, reducing violent crimes and improving mental health provision services.
